WILDEN item number or model: what should you send?

A practical guide to keeping the complete configuration code and helping DFIN identify the pump or part you need.

Start with two identifiers

For a replacement pump or service enquiry, send both the WILDEN item number and the full model or configuration shown on the nameplate. The item number is the primary reference in the DFIN catalog. The model adds context about the configuration. A short family name is useful for browsing, but it should not replace the complete identification when you request a quotation.

Preserve the suffix

Copy punctuation, letters and suffixes as they appear. For example, keep the full code 08-16179-R when that is the item being requested. Do not remove the final letters because another listing looks similar. If a nameplate is damaged, send a clear photograph and describe which characters are uncertain rather than guessing.

Separate the pump from its repair parts

A pump item number and a component code identify different records. If you need a component such as 15-1010-52, include that code and the pump identification in the same enquiry. Finding a code in a related product page is a useful starting point, but the relationship still needs to be checked against the specific configuration and service requirement.

Make the enquiry easy to review

Send a single list containing item number, full model, quantity and intended use: complete replacement, planned service or individual spare part. Attach nameplate and component photos where available. DFIN can then compare the requested items with the catalog references and confirm the proposed supply scope. This also keeps a clear written record for reviewing the quotation.
